Natural gas has many components and these Gas components have to be separated individually to know their mole concentration differential 4 to 20 ma signals. Four are used by field analyser and fitted with transient protection. Remaining four can accept signals from another analyser, say, one which can analyse moisture, sulphur etc.
The GC can then calculate the Gross Actual BTU.
Gross Actual BTU= Gross Dry BTU x (1– WVC/100)
Where WVC is the water volume content provided by the other analyser.
There are 10 Analog outputs, 16 Digital Inputs , 22 nos Digital Outputs and Serial Ports for Modbus communication.
