P&F Barrier -

KFD2-EB2-R4A.B - Redundant Power Feed Module

Used for:

• Interface for Power Rail
• The power feed module supplies the Power Rail with a voltage of 24 V DC and a maximum current of 4 A
• The device is designed for applications requiring redundant power.
• In the event of a device fault or a wiring, fault of any isolator on the Power Rail, the collective error messaging relay alerts the controller via a binary I/O point.
  This relay can be configured as normally-open or normally-closed.

P&F Barrier -

KFD2-PT2-Ex1-5 - Potentiometer Converter

Used for:

• This is an isolated barrier is used for intrinsic safety applications.
• It provides the source voltage to a potentiometer and transfers its wiper position from hazardous areas to safe areas.
  It then converts the signal to a 4 mA - 20mA current output.
• The unit can be used in a 3-, 4-, or 5-wire configuration depending on the required measurement accuracy. 
• The barrier’s potentiometer can be used to compensate for lead resistance up to 5 % of the hazardous area potentiometer value.

During adjustment, the potentiometer is set to 100 % of its value and the output signal is adjusted to 100 % of the required value. This adjustment can be repeated setting the potentiometer to 0 %.

• The device transfers digital signals from NAMUR sensors or dry contacts from the hazardous area to the non-hazardous area.
• useful for detecting positions, end stops, and switching states.
• The device output changes the state when the input signal changes the state.
