| 4.2.6.1 MAINTENANCE MANAGER (QHSE-ORGANIZATIONAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITY) (a) Responsible for planning for preventive maintenance of all equipment on the platform. (b) Develop objectives and targets for maintenance section and ensure its compliance. (c) Assure the safety of platform personnel through compliance with occupational safety and health regulations, and maintain the attitude that all accidents are preventable. (d) Ensure compliance to the planned general inspections, preventive maintenance, special system inspections etc. (e) Ensure Inventory control of all spares for moving machinery. (f) Plan for modification, replacements, revamping and repairs of equipment. (g) Prepare technical specifications for all equipment and spares identified for procurement. (h) Communicate policies regarding QHSE to all employees within his section. (i) Ensure critical parts/items in his section are identified and records maintained. (j) Identify document control needs of his section and ensure that all the system requirements of controlled documents are met. (k) Carry out scheduled group loss control meetings. (l) Ensure that all emergency shutdown devices are always operational. (m) Ensure compliance to work permit / specialized work rules applicable to his area. (n) Prepare QHSEMS program for his area. (o) Ensure compliance of QHSEMS program for engineering and equipment related activities. (p) Foresee the training needs of engineering personnel under him and ensuring that they are properly trained for working on critical equipment and equipment which will have a significant bearing on QHSEMS. (q) Monitoring the performance and condition of equipment and systems with stated parameters and informing the higher management if they require revamping/upgrading. | |
